Special Arrangements Before Trip

I. Insurance Coverage

Before your trip to Russia, we strongly recommend you to buy special travel insurance plan. Please consult your travel agent or insurance broker for detailed information and assistance. We would suggest paying special attention to the following conditions of your insurance coverage:

Area of coverage should include Russia or other former USSR territory
Your plan should include medical expenses, medical evacuation to the home country, co-travelers support
Please note whether direct settlement of the invoices is offered or self-pay and claim back procedure is applied.

You should understand that any travel insurance plan in the world does not cover regular medical check-ups, pre-existing conditions, drug and alcohol abuse.

Timely attention to these details would prevent many difficulties and make your trip truly safe.

II. Prescription Medicines

If you are taking a prescription drug, it may or may not be available in Russia. Some drugs are not authorized by the government to be imported for certain reasons. Others may not be licensed and trademarked in the region; some may be so prohibitively expensive that a local pharmacy cannot afford to stock them.

If you are dependent on a particular prescription drug in your home country, you may wish to make contact with a reliable local pharmacy and doctor who can research your prescription to find an international equivalent. With some prescriptions, it may not be advised to change even to a different brand name.

Also many of the drastic or narcotic drugs are available only with special prescription.

Please make sure that you have taken enough medications with you or contact us prior to your trip by euromed@euromed.ru to make sure that your regular medication or its analogue is available in Russia.

III. Special Arrangements or Personal Assistance
